Welcome to the next Module up…Metabolism! You learned in many of the modules, different aspects that regulate your metabolism. In this module we will put them all together. One or All these factors, can become out of balance affecting your metabolism and weight. Let’s take a deeper look at Metabolism and the factors you can control to help return balance to this system. 

Metabolism is a complex chemical process of taking the nutrition you consume combining it with oxygen and turning it into energy the cells can use.  We often think of Metabolism as a weight issue, slow metabolism= weight gain or difficulty losing weight. But, Metabolism is so much more!

Some of the main contributing factors to a slower metabolism are loss of muscle mass and becoming more sedentary. Food intake in both quantity and quality is important!  However it is not as simple as calories in must equal to or be less than calories out.  The body adapting to fewer calories and  HORMONE DYSREGULATION can play a major role in metabolic chaos.  Here are resources recaping the module and providing additional strategies...
